NO your way to success & then say NO again

by | Jan 31, 2018 | Blogs

That’s right..

2018 is underway… and around this time you might be refining your goals, values & new years resolutions.

Professionally, I hope you are achieving the success you desire in your business or your career.

Through coaching a number of successful Entrepreneurs & High performers, I have found that during this time of the year it, is very easy to become overwhelmed, distracted, unfocused and stressed with all the tasks, activities and exercises you could possibly add on your to do list.

It’s also very easy to become a yes man/yes lady to life by saying YES to every opportunity as they appear.

The only sleight problem here (and I say sleight lightly), is that not every single moment, task & activity you put on your ‘to do’ list is an opportunity.

The harsh truth is that it is just ‘activity’ keeping you busy and taking you away from what could be truly critical for your business, work & even your personal life too.

Instead, I invite you to tune in to the power of NO…

NO’ing your way to success (I just made that phrase up..watch this space, it could catch on)

Saying NO to everything that does not serve your higher life/business purpose.

As they say, less is more.

Warren Buffet is renowned for his ability to say yes to the right opportunities.

His secret is saying no to 99/100 opportunities he is presented with and saying yes to the 1 opportunity that truly resonates with him, his vision and what will serve the people/world around him the most.

A very simple & effective way of overcoming the new year stress, anxiety, burnout & overwhelm is by focusing on the Critical Success Factors, Your Key Performance Indicators or the top 1,2,3 activities that create 80% of your results.

Here is an interesting exercise to help you create higher self awareness moving forwards in 2018 and become clear about what is working for you right now.

Pick 1 area of your business or personal world that you would like to transform and create more results in.

When you have chosen that area, answer the following questions below.

  • Power Question 1.- What are the activities, tasks & thought processes you could be doing Less Off that will increase your productivity & focus?
  • Power Question 2.- What are they key activities you could be dedicating more time & energy to?
  • Power Question 3.- What will you now do? What will you commit to & what will you let go off?

Try this exercise on the key components and areas of your vision for 2018.

The more focused, clear & sharp you become on the steps that will be critical for your success, the better you will perform while eliminating any potential stress & emotional challenges that show up on the journey of being extraordinary.

I would love to hear what you will change personally & professionally for yourself to be your very best this year! Comment below and i’ll respond to you as soon as I can.

Here’s to your continued success & if there is anything I can do to serve or support yourself and/or your business or if you have any questions about my latest article then please feel free to reach out to me here or at [email protected].
